Every once in a while I like to stop from my daily routine and take shots of things I really Love. Yesterday, I decided to pay my old teammates, The Thundercats, a visit and take some photos of their baseball game. The Thundercats are a Double A team in the Pacific Coast Baseball League in Los Angeles. Sports photography is something I have always enjoyed doing. I hope you like the photos.
I have known Gil for almost 15 years now, and he has always been great with people and is a natural born leader.
He has now been able to take those leadership skills and become a great business man, and rising to the top in his field. Learn more about Gil from his website www.gilvega.biz
When Gil asked me to do his portraits I knew exactly what I wanted to do for him. We used a method developed by Los Angeles based photographer Dylan Patrick to give his portrait a cinematic and detailed look. This is a great look for headshots and business portraits. All the shots were are f2.8 and lit using profoto B2
After shooting Denice and Alonso's engagement photos, I became really excited about their wedding day. They had a beautiful catholic ceremony at St. Anthony's Church in San Gabriel. After the ceremony we headed to Imperial Palace Banquet Hall in Pasadena for a goregeous reception. The Hall was beautifully decorated and the lighting was amazing. What really made this wedding memorable was their wedding party, they were full of energy and ready to celebrate this amazing couples love.
Special thanks to Starletv31 for doing an amazing job with makeup
Working with Nancy & Omaro was an awesome experience. Having got to know them during their engagement shoot helped get their personality to shine. With the work of great hair and make up by Soreya Hair & Make-up and the people of The Omni Hotel Los Angeles, we were able to help give Nancy the Wedding of her dreams.
Camille & Eric what an amazing couple....
During their engagement shoot in Downtown Los Angeles I can already begin to see what a great couple they are. They made the Session very fun with great energy.
On the day of their wedding I felt like I really knew the couple well, that really helped us since it was our first time shooting at The Lake House in the San Fernando Valley.
We know Camille and Eric had an amazing honeymoon and now we wish them a happy life together.
What a great day it was shooting with this couple. We shot in different locations around Marina del Rey. We used a variety of lenses to get these shots from a 70-200 2.8 to the Tamron 15-30 2.8.
Wedding season is coming in fast and I'm sure many of you are not as prepared as you would like to be for your upcoming wedding. With so many things to plan (Venue, dress, flowers, catering, Etc.) expenses can easily rise, and I’m sure you are wondering where you can cut some costs. You just remembered that your cousin recently bought a new DSLR camera and you’re thinking maybe he could take pictures for you to help you save money.
While you may think your cousin has a nice camera, most consumer DSLR don’t have the necessary features to appropriately cover a wedding. Let’s say your cousin does have the best camera money can buy (aprox. $6,000) and he also has the necessary lenses to fully cover a wedding ($8,000). Weddings are among the most difficult type of photography, it not only requires equipment but the experience to be able to adapt to various situations in a matter of seconds.
Important moments of the wedding can happen at any given time, so if your cousin decides he wants to take a break and have a drink there is a good chance he will miss many significant moments of the most important day of your life.
You may also be thinking “this is 2015 everyone has a camera in their smart phones… there is no way moments will be missed”. Most venues are very dark and make it nearly impossible to take a quality photo without adequate lighting. Professional lighting will not only ensure that your photos are properly exposed but they will also be in focus.
Now that you have invested so much on your wedding, I guarantee you do not want to miss out on having profesional photographer capturing all the essentials of your special day.
Any restaurant owner knows that appearance is important. The best way to grab a customer's attention is by making sure the meal is captured in an inviting way! We can help you professionally engineer each shot to best showcase your food.
We thought we would start our new blog with one of out favorite weddings from 2014. John and Lorena's wedding was a very fun and exiting event for us to shoot. The wedding venue was at the beautiful Green Parrot Villa in Santa Ana, California.
